CookiesCookies

When you visit a website that saves cookies, a small text file called a cookie is created on your computer. A cookie is a short text file that a website stores in the browser of your computer or mobile device (including a tablet) when you browse it. If you visit the same website next time, the cookie allows you to connect more quickly. In addition, the site "recognises" you and offers you information that you prefer, ensures that previously displayed advertising is not repeated, allows you to log in, or offers to pre-fill data entered during previous visits to the web environment. Based on this information, it displays relevant content and offers for predicted activities and services that we assume you might use.

We use cookies to analyse website traffic through the services of Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook, Piwik, Exponea, and HotJar. These are analytical tools that help website and application owners understand how their visitors use these resources. Cookies can be used to generate statistics about website usage without personally identifying individual visitors.

If you set your browser to block the saving of cookies, it is possible that some parts of our websites may not function without certain issues or slowdowns.

What Cookies We Use

Essential cookies: These cookies enable the use of basic functions such as logging in a registered user, pre-filling forms, and remembering your preferences. If you disable these cookies, we cannot guarantee the full functionality of our websites.

Performance cookies: These cookies are used to record and analyse visitor behaviour on the website and subsequently to improve its functionality and appearance. If you disable these cookies, we cannot guarantee the full functionality of our websites.

Advertising cookies: These are used to optimise the displayed content and advertising based on the visitor's habits and the effectiveness of the advertisers' marketing communication. Thanks to them, for example, you will not be shown advertising from an area you are not interested in unnecessarily often.

Third-party cookies: These are created and used by service providers such as Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook, Piwik, HotJar, and Exponea. These services are integrated into our websites because we consider them useful and fully secure.

How to Check Your Cookie Settings

You can manage or delete cookies at your discretion. For details, please visit www.allaboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies stored on your computer and set most browsers to prevent them from being stored. If you do not trust cookies, you can regularly delete them from your disk. In some cases, Cookie information may be saved incorrectly, leading to problems with logging into our internet applications (e.g., webmail.telekom.sk, moj.telekom.sk, forum.telekom.sk). Instructions for removing all cookies, including incorrectly saved ones, can be found below:

Legal Basis for Processing

If we are able to identify the person visiting the web environment during the recording, this will constitute the processing of personal data. For such processing, we must have a legal basis. One legal basis may be your consent as a data subject. Another, particularly for monitoring and evaluating activities, will be the legitimate interest of the controller, i.e., us, to offer you the best possible specific settings for services or support for your activities within a contractual relationship with our company, including direct marketing.

Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

If we have your consent to process your personal data for marketing purposes, we combine this data with information about your activities on the website. This combination occurs after you log into the moj.telekom.sk zone, by filling in and submitting an order form, or by accessing the m.telekom.sk site via Telekom's mobile data. The purpose of this combination is to better recognise your preferences and interests and, on this basis, to better tailor offers directly to you and to personalise web content.

You can object to such processing at any time, or if an automated decision would affect your rights and freedoms, you may request an individual decision on our part. The method for withdrawing consent is described below.

Analytical Tools

Within our advertising services, our websites use analytical tools primarily for the purpose of carrying out marketing campaigns, evaluating customer behaviour, monitoring and recording errors in the mobile application, and collecting leads.

  • Google Analytics is an analytical tool for monitoring user behaviour on the Web and in applications. A customer is evaluated in Google Analytics only on the basis of Cookies. Telekom does not send any personal data of users. The data protection and security definition can be found at www.google.com.
  • Facebook: On our websites, we use the Facebook Custom Audience tool for the purpose of Telekom's remarketing campaigns on Facebook, exclusively on the basis of your consent to the processing of personal data for marketing purposes, which you have provided to Telekom and which you can withdraw at any time according to the instructions below. We also use the Facebook Pixel to optimise Telekom's marketing offers on Facebook, provided you have given Facebook the relevant consents to the processing of cookies. The data protection and security definition can be found at www.facebook.com.
  • Clarity: We use Clarity to evaluate user behaviour on our websites. A user is evaluated only on the basis of cookies; no other data is used, which ensures the user's anonymity. Clarity's privacy policy can be found at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/clarity/.
  • Adform: This tool is intended for recording and evaluating customer behaviour on the Web. Adform evaluates only on the basis of Cookies; Telekom does not send any other customer data. The data protection and security definition can be found at www.adform.com.
  • Exponea Adalytics is a tool we use to record and analyse customer behaviour on our web portals. We collect information about customers from the websites telekom.sk, m.telekom.sk, forum.telekom.sk, and moj.telekom.sk.

For the purpose of improving the quality of browsing, we collect the following types of information from cookies:

  • Visits to specific pages on the Telekom domain
  • Viewing of products (mobile, fixed, hardware)
  • Recording of interactions on the aforementioned websites (e.g., "I am interested" forms, "Mobile Every Year" programme, etc.)
  • Information on interactions with displayed advertisements (clicks)
  • Clicks on specific elements on the page (image, button, etc.)

How Long We Retain Browsing Data

Browsing data retained according to cookie settings is not stored in our systems. We retain information that we combine with cookie data based on the consent you have given us or for the duration of the contractual relationship between us and you. We will retain the combined data from cookies and our systems for the period necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, but for a maximum of 6 months.

Withdrawal of Consent

If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, this consent can be withdrawn at any time, or you can object by submitting a request at our first contact points or by sending a request to the contact point listed in the Contact Details section.
